The purpose of combining these collections into one volume is to hyper-link the extensive cross-referencing within and across the collections. The epub, azw3 and kobo eBook versions therefore serve as functional equivalents to an offline mirror of the sutta portion of the site. Read the suttas online ## Download Options - epub (3.9 MB) - azw3 (5.9 MB) - kobo (4.6 MB) - pdf (41.6 MB) - Help: "Which format do I need?" - The EPUB format is suitable for most e-readers, except Kobos and Kindles. This includes most e-reader applications on mobile phones and tablets (e.g. Apple's iBooks, various apps for Android), and on desktops (e.g. Calibre). - Kindle owners will generally want the AZW3 format. Unfortunately, AZW3s cannot be sent with Amazon's Send to Kindle service and need to be sideloaded via USB. Some have tried using Send to Kindle to send EPUBs, but with mixed success. - Kobo owners will want kobo's "KEPUB" format, which is a version of the EPUB format optimized for Kobo e-readers. ## Individual Nikṅyas There are also ebooks of each individual part of the collection of suttas. These also contain hyperlinked cross-references, but won't work across the entire corpus like the all-in-one version above. ## Dīgha Nikṅya - online - epub (774.8 kB) - azw3 (748.5 kB) - kobo (833.5 kB) - pdf (3.4 MB) ## Majjhima Nikṅya - online - epub (1.2 MB) - azw3 (1.5 MB) - kobo (1.3 MB) - pdf (7.8 MB) ## Saṃyutta Nikṅya - online - epub (1.3 MB) - azw3 (1.4 MB) - kobo (1.5 MB) - pdf (10.9 MB) ## Aṃguttara Nikṅya - online - epub (1.3 MB) - azw3 (1.4 MB) - kobo (1.4 MB) - pdf (10.7 MB) ## Khuddakapṅṭha - online - epub (795.1 kB) - azw3 (312.1 kB) - kobo (799.7 kB) - pdf (914.6 kB) ## Dhammapada - online - epub (736.8 kB) - azw3 (342.7 kB) - kobo (760.0 kB) - pdf (1.5 MB) ## Udṅna - online - epub (1.0 MB) - azw3 (553.0 kB) - kobo (1.1 MB) - pdf (3.1 MB) ## Itivuttaka - online - epub (1.0 MB) - azw3 (527.1 kB) - kobo (1.1 MB) - pdf (2.6 MB) - audiobook (337.0 MB) ## Sutta Nipṅta - online - epub (1.0 MB) - azw3 (794.2 kB) - kobo (1.1 MB) - pdf (3.8 MB) ## Theragṅthṅ & Therīgṅthṅ - online - epub (1.0 MB) - azw3 (551.9 kB) - kobo (1.1 MB) - pdf (3.1 MB) ## Other Languages - ## Cover image - --> - - - -
