Seven days after the Blessed Oneâs birth she died and reappeared among the Contented [Tusita] (deva-) group." "Thatâs the way it is, ṅnanda. Thatâs the way it is, for the mothers of bodhisattas are short-lived. Seven days after the bodhisattasâ birth, the bodhisattasâ mothers pass away and reappear among the Contented (deva-) group." Then, on realizing the significance of that, the Blessed One on that occasion exclaimed: Those who have come to be, those who will be: All will go, leaving the body behind.
