Now there is a Sumbhan town named Sedaka. Then Ven. Udṅyin went to the Blessed One and, on arrival, bowed down to him and sat to one side. As he was sitting there, he said to the Blessed One, "Itâs amazing, lord. Itâs astounding, how much they have done for me—my love & respect for the Blessed One, my sense of shame & compunction. Before, when I was a householder, I wasnât appreciative of the Dhamma or the Saṃgha, but contemplating my love & respect for the Blessed One, my sense of shame & compunction, I went forth from home life into homelessness.
